He sits in broad daylight, surrounded by pleas and promises,
Looking at His creation this abundant with hits and misses,
Staring back at rows of folded hands and whispering verses,
One wonders if He too feels trapped behind bars like the rest of us.

Mothers Meet


An unseemly sight, this rare union of two givers,
One headed to a shelter perhaps, or a milestone another,
The other one, possibly, with little hungry ones back home,
How does one really distinguish one mother from the other?

A Rose forever


Set against the rumble of melting metal and coal,
She stands besotted by her own delightful treat,
It is true, I thought, as I witnessed this flower roll,
A rose by any other name, would still smell as sweet.

Divine Rain

Behold! Here is a sight, that is a cure for sore eyes,
As the sky meets the Earth in a shower of shimmering lights,
Where does the divine end? And where do humans begin?
Is a question I look for, watching this unique embrace of the mights.

They came gushing, like an army of ants,

Only to end up, vanishing into their Mother's bosom,
And begin yet another birth to join the clouds once again.
